The No. 13 Arkansas Gymbacks were supposed to host a key meet in Barnhill Arena Friday against West Virginia, but those plans have gone out the window.
Due to the snow that has impacted Fayetteville and Northwest Arkansas, the meet has been canceled, per Arkansas athletics.
However, there is good news. Jordyn Wieber’s club will now Southeast Missouri in a meet scheduled for Sunday at 1:45 pm. The Redhawks are facing a similar issue as Arkansas, in that their quad meet originally scheduled to take place at Northern Illinois University was canceled also due to inclement weather.
Arkansas checks in a No. 13 in the latest College Gymnastics Association poll, with an average score of 196.375 per meet. Arkansas is No. 3 in the South Central Regional, behind Oklahoma and fellow SEC foe Missouri.
According to Arkansas athletics, tickets originally purchased for the West Virginia meet can be used for the meet with Southeast Missouri.
