James Conner ‘would love to continue’ with Cardinals, but ‘excited to see what’s next’

Conner is scheduled to be a free agent in March.

Running back James Conner is at the Pro Bowl representing the Arizona Cardinals. It is not his first trip to the Pro Bowl but it was his first season there with the Cardinals.

Conner had a fantastic season in 2021. He had 1,127 total yards from scrimmage and scored 18 touchdowns. He led the Cardinals with 752 rushing yards and 15 rushing touchdowns.

Now he is preparing for free agency, as he signed only a one-year deal with the Cardinals in April.

Cardinals team reporter/producer Dani Sureck caught up with Conner in Las Vegas and asked him about his impending free agency.

“(I) would love to continue out there (in Arizona),” he said. “I’m excited to see what’s next. I’m a man of faith so I know it will all work out for me.”

Conner is one of the Cardinals’ six soon-to-be free agent skill players.

Free agency does not begin until March.
