At long last, Discord is finally coming to PlayStation consoles.
PlayStation owners will be able to link their PSN and Discord accounts as of Monday. Doing so will grant the option to display game activity across platforms. Meaning friends on Discord’s PC or mobile clients will be able to tell you’re playing Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves, Horizon Forbidden West, or the cult-classic pinnacle of interactive storytelling that is Knack. Any game on either PS4 or PS5, really.
The only other feature PlayStation owners gain from this is the ability to display their PSN IDs in your Discord connections tab. Nothing is all that remarkable in terms of features, but Discord says more functionality is coming.
How to link your PSN and Discord accounts:
- Open Discord
- Head to User Settings
- Select “Connections”
- Select the PlayStation icon
- Enter your PSN sign-in info into the authorization field
Presto! That’s it. Now everybody will know you spent eight hours trying to beat the Orphan of Kos in Bloodborne.

Discord integration is something PlayStation fans have wanted for ages, though the news might be lost in the excitement over Sony buying Bungie. That’s understandable since, well, picking up the studio that created Halo and Destiny is kind of a huge deal.
