Report: Kings no longer pursuing Sixers star Ben Simmons in a trade

The Sacramento Kings will no longer pursue a trade for Philadelphia 76ers star Ben Simmons.

The Philadelphia 76ers are still in pursuit of trying to move star guard Ben Simmons who is obviously not going to throw in a Sixers uniform ever again. He has made that abundantly clear and Philadelphia is looking to move him to get the saga over with.

However, they also acknowledge his obvious talent and they will not trade him for just anything. They need some star talent in return and that is why they’re willing to wait for the offseason when a guy like James Harden will become available for them.

There was one team that was always involved in rumors involving Simmons and that was the Sacramento Kings. Considering the fact that the Kings are a team that hasn’t made the playoffs since 2006, it made sense why they would pursue a deal for one of the game’s brighter stars.

However, the Kings are hesitant to include De’Aaron Fox or Tyrese Haliburton in a deal. Therefore, they are no longer pursuing Simmons and have decided to look elsewhere.

The Sixers will continue to try and find a deal for Simmons before the Feb. 10 trade deadline. However, it is becoming obvious that a deal for the disgruntled star will become in the offseason when more stars will become available.
