The Spartans were also underdogs in their last game at Wisconsin, which resulted in a big-time Michigan State win to right the ship. Michigan State enters this game 15-3 overall and in first place of the Big Ten at 6-1 in conference play.

Illinois has also been solid for most of this season at 13-5 overall and 6-2 in Big Ten play. The Fighting Illini, however, have dropped back-to-back games and will need a bounce-back effort to top the Spartans on Tuesday.

Tipoff from the State Farm Center is scheduled for 7 p.m. EST. The game can be seen on ESPN.
