As the Chicago Bears face an uncertain offseason, where some big changes await them, one thing they know for certain is who their starting quarterback will be in 2022 — Justin Fields.

Fields is coming off a rocky rookie season, where he dealt with injuries and had his share of mistakes. But there’s also plenty of reasons to be hopeful and optimistic for his future, as he flashed his potential to become a star in this league, despite the poor circumstances of his rookie year.

Now that the 2021 season is officially in the books, Fields took to Twitter to reflect on his rookie season, which was filled with highs and plenty of lows. But he promised “the best is yet to come.”

“Shout out to my family, friends, and teammates for helping me get through Year 1. Everything happens for a reason and it’s all just a small part of the journey. The best is yet to come.”

As the Bears search for a new head coach and general manager, Fields is a big draw for any prospective candidates. Not only is Fields a quarterback on a rookie deal, but his ceiling is incredibly high. If Chicago can get the right head coach in place, Fields can unlock his full potential.
