Report: Vikings request GM interview with Titans exec Monti Ossenfort

This is the second team showing interest in Ossenfort.

Tennessee Titans executives have been getting some attention in the general manager searches of multiple teams, and we can add another squad to the list of those interested.

According to Ben Goessling of the Star Tribune, the Minnesota Vikings have requested to interview Titans director of player personnel, Monti Ossenfort.

This is the second known general manager interview request for Ossenfort, who also garnered interest from the New York Giants, as did the Titans vice president of player personnel, Ryan Cowden.

Before coming to the Titans in 2020, Ossenfort spent a decade and a half with the New England Patriots, working his way up from being a personal assistant to the director of college scouting.

Should he land the job, Ossenfort would be taking over for Rick Spielman, who, along with head coach Mike Zimmer, was fired on “Black Monday.” The Vikings went 8-9 last season and finished second in the NFC North.
