The Philadelphia 76ers and the Ben Simmons will continue their ongoing dance as the trade deadline continues to approach. It is no secret that the 25-year old 3-time All-Star wants nothing to do with the Sixers and he wants to be traded, but Philadelphia also won’t trade him for just anything.
The Sixers want a top 25 player in return for Simmons to pair up with Joel Embiid in order to contend for a title, but they have not been able to find the right value for him at the moment. They also want him to return to the team, but Simmons has no intention of ever throwing on a Sixers uniform ever again.
Simmons’ agency, Klutch Sports, met with president Daryl Morey and GM Elton Brand in order to find a truce on this current stalemate, but nothing has changed. Simmons still doesn’t want to play here and the Sixers still only want a top player for him.
Lunch meeting in Philadelphia with Paul and Sixers' management to talk through the ongoing Simmons situation, sources said. Sixers continue to want Simmons to return to the floor, but there's no movement on that front — nor traction on a trade now. Trade deadline is Feb. 10.

The Sixers will have to still manage the team and continue to keep their focus on the floor despite what’s going on with Simmons as they move forward with their season.
