Did you know that Kirby, the pink puff that whimsically swallows men whole, is coming back? Well, he is, and a new trailer is here to showcase his skills.
Kirby and the Forgotten Land is coming out on March 25 for Nintendo Switch. It’ll also celebrate Kirby’s 30th anniversary, meaning this adorable creature has been frolicking about for longer than most of his fans have been alive. Wild, that.
On Wednesday, Nintendo released a new trailer for Kirby and the Forgotten Land, highlighting some of our titular hero’s unique abilities, such as the Ranger, which allows him to pick-off enemies from a safe distance. Meanwhile, the drill lets Kirby burrow underground like a ravenous sandworm.
The trailer also shows off how co-op multiplayer will work. It’s a single-system affair, meaning you and a buddy will have to partake in old-school couch co-op. Watch the trailer below to see it in action.

Well, it’s not short on cutesy bits at all. Not that we would expect anything less from one of Nintendo’s giant mascots. It’ll be interesting to see how Kirby and the Forgotten Land manages open-world sections since that’ll be a first for the series. Either way, we can’t wait to try it out for ourselves.
