The Pittsburgh Steelers have a punter problem. Head coach Mike Tomlin spoke to the media on Tuesday and discussed the options between Pressley Harvin III and Corliss Waitman for this week’s AFC wild-card matchup with the Kansas City Chiefs.

On one hand, you have Pressley, who the team spent a draft pick on in 2021. However, due to circumstances, some he could control and some he couldn’t, his rookie campaign has been forgettable.

Then you have Wiatman. He came in when the Steelers needed him and performed very well Harvin missed two games and Waitman outkicked him.

This brings us to Sunday’s game. While I do believe the Steelers are committed to Harvin long-term, in a must-win playoff game, Pittsburgh should go with the hot hand (foot?) and play Wiatman. Field position could be a huge factor in maximizing Pittsburgh’s opportunities.
