Raising your trainer’s level in Pokémon GO is one of the big main tasks of the smartphone game – besides catching ’em all and completing the Pokédex, of course. The higher your level rises in Pokémon GO, the more features you can unlock and the higher you can push the CP of your Pokémon to make them stronger in battle. There are a total of 50 trainer levels since the winter 2020 GO Beyond update, the previous maximum being 40.
While levels 2 to 40 only require you to earn experience points (XP), Niantic has come up with a special system for levels 41 to 50: each level up in this range has some additional conditions that you need to fulfill in the form of quests. This guide will show you what you need to do to reach levels 41 to 50 in Pokémon GO and what rewards are waiting for you. In addition, all XP requirements and rewards for all other levels will be listed to help you keep track of everything.
If you want to grind out levels as fast as possible, take a look at our Pokémon GO XP farming guide. It helps if you know your Raid counters, too.
