Rams tied for 5th-best odds to win Super Bowl LVI entering playoffs

With the 14 playoff teams locked in, where do the Rams rank in terms of Super Bowl odds?

The Los Angeles Rams suffered a devastating overtime loss to the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday after jumping out to an early 17-0 lead in the game. But with the Seattle Seahawks defeating the Arizona Cardinals, the Rams still secured the NFC West, allowing them to finish as the No. 4 seed in the NFC.

As the fourth seed, Los Angeles will host Arizona in the wild-card round next Monday. Ahead of the Rams’ third matchup of the year against the Cardinals, the Super Bowl odds for each remaining team were revealed, courtesy of Tipico Sportsbook.

The Rams are tied with the Tennessee Titans for the fifth-best odds to win the Super Bowl next month at +900. The four teams ahead of Los Angeles are the Green Bay Packers (+380), Kansas City Chiefs (+480), Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+750), and Buffalo Bills (+750).

Earlier this season, the Rams beat the Buccaneers, but they fell short of defeating the Packers on the road. If they have to face either Tampa Bay or Green Bay in the playoffs, Los Angeles will be the road team as the lower seed.

We’ve seen this Rams team look like a legitimate Super Bowl contender at times. And other times — like in Sunday’s loss to the 49ers — they’ve looked like a team that is bound for a first-round exit in the postseason if they continue to find ways to beat themselves.

With the Rams continually being aggressive to acquire talented players by surrendering draft picks, this time of the year is the reason why. Only time will tell to determine if Los Angeles’ decision to go Super Bowl-or-bust pans out this season.
