If there’s anything that stands out about the Los Angeles Lakers’ current form, it’s what LeBron James is doing night in and night out.
He’s averaging 28.7 points on the season, but he’s taken his play to another level since Anthony Davis went down with an MCL sprain, which has put him at the center position more often.
In the last nine games, James has averaged a whopping 34.3 points per game, with his most recent being a 32-point performance against the Atlanta Hawks. That outing made it nine 30-point games in his last 10, including 10 straight games of at least 25 points, which means James passed Michael Jordan in a new statistic (h/t: @ESPN):
At 37, LeBron is the oldest player in NBA history to have 10 straight 25-point games 🤯

The Lakers have won four games in a row and are 5-0 when LeBron starts at center. Only time will tell how long this run continues, but the 37-year-old star is putting on a show that shouldn’t be taken for granted.
