Coming up in just three days, the Georgia Bulldogs and Alabama Crimson Tide will face each other for the second time this season, this time for the college football national championship. The Tide took the first meeting in the SEC championship game, 41-24, for their second-straight conference title.
The two teams are playing for all the marbles and it is expected to be a close one. Since our initial odds report, the dial has barely moved for either squad, but the tables have been turned as UGA is expected to prevail in this rematch. Kind of reminiscent of the 1997 Sugar Bowl.
According to the Tipico Sportsbook, the Bulldogs once again remain a 2.5-point favorite over the Crimson Tide with the over/under staying at 51.5 points. Georgia’s money remains at minus-155 as does Alabama at plus-125 as of 10:30 a.m. EST Friday, Jan. 7.
Kickoff is set for 8 p.m. EST on Monday, Jan. 10, inside Lucas Oil Stadium, Indianapolis, Indiana. The game will be broadcast on ESPN and livestreamed on the ESPN app.
