The New Orleans Saints (8-8) will need to win on the road against the Atlanta Falcons (7-9) Sunday in Week 18 to keep their slim playoff hopes alive. Kickoff from Mercedes-Benz Stadium is set for 4:25 p.m. ET. Below, we look at the Saints vs. Falcons odds and lines; check back for our NFL picks and predictions.
The Saints picked up a crucial 18-10 victory against the visiting Carolina Panthers in Week 17. Star RB Alvin Kamara was kept mostly in check in the ground game, accumulating 32 yards on 13 carries, but picked up 68 receiving yards and the Saints’ lone touchdown on 5 receptions.
New Orleans must win against Atlanta and the San Francisco 49ers must lose their 4:25 p.m. ET matchup with the Los Angeles Rams for the Saints to reach the postseason.
The Falcons went into halftime with a slim one-point lead at the Buffalo Bills in Week 17 but were held scoreless through the final two quarters of play as they lost 29-15. QB Matt Ryan was held to under 200 passing yards for the fifth time in his last eight games and the offense went just 1-for-7 on third-down attempts.
The Week 17 loss eliminated the Falcons from playoff contention.
