The calendar has flipped to 2022, and Ben Simmons remains a member of the Philadelphia 76ers. He requested a trade from the organization in August and he started the season with a holdout. Since his return, however, he has not played for the team 35 games into the season.
Simmons has been a polarizing figure. Some come to his aid, defending him while others have essentially been done with him for his antics. Those folks have been done with him for a bit.
Rapper Fat Joe is the latest to criticize Simmons. He went on an NSFW rant about Simmons, calling him the biggest loser in the universe:
The Biggest Loser in the universe is Ben Simmons. What the (expletive) he doing? What’d he say? He can’t come back and play? Like, Ben Simmons, biggest jerk. He done lost too much money or whatever the case may be.

The Sixers have maintained they want Simmons back with the team, but they also are open to trading him if they can get the value they want. They insist they want a top-25 player in return for one of the game’s brightest stars. As he continues to sit, the Sixers try to figure out what to do.
