New England can still capture the AFC East if they win and the Buffalo Bills (10-6) lose or tie when they host the New York Jets (4-12) in their finale.

The Dolphins were eliminated from postseason contention and had a seven-game win streak snapped in a 34-3 defeat at the Tennessee Titans in Week 17. QB Tua Tagovailoa threw for 205 yards but had 0 touchdowns and 1 interception, while the ground game was paced by RB Duke Johnson who picked up 49 yards on 7 carries. Miami was 3-for-12 on third-down conversion attempts.
Miami won the season opener 17-16 as a 3.5-point underdog in New England.

These two AFC East rivals have me 112 times since 1966 with Miami holding a 58-54 edge in the all-time series. The Pats and Dolphins have split the season series each of the last four years, although Miami has won three of the last four meetings.
Miami has also covered the spread in three of the last four matchups. The Patriots are 2-7 ATS in their last nine games in Miami, and the home team is 15-4 ATS in the last 19 meetings between the two sides. The Under has gone 4-1 across the last five games.
