Photo emerges of Antonio Brown waiting to leave stadium alone after his meltdown

He was ready to leave.

Antonio Brown’s time with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers came to a spectacular end on Sunday when he stormed off the field during the third quarter of the Bucs’ Week 17 game against the Jets.

Videos from the stands showed an upset Brown having a conversation with Mike Evans, removing his jersey, throwing his shirt and gloves into the stands before heading to the locker room. The entire scene was so weird as Brown straight-up quit on his team during a road game.

This also begged the question: How was Brown going to get home?

Well, someone snapped a photo of Brown in the process of figuring those next steps out. (Note: Expand the tweet to see the full photo).

A photo of Brown standing alone outside MetLife Stadium hit Twitter shortly after the meltdown. We could see as Brown already had his suitcase with him and was looking at his phone, presumably trying to figure out how to get out of New Jersey without the rest of the team.

The outfit in that Twitter photo also matched what Brown was photographed wearing before the game.

So, yeah, that Twitter photo was legitimate.

Head coach Bruce Arians confirmed after the 28-24 win that the team had released Brown. The wide receiver’s tantrum had him missing out on quite a chunk of bonus money too. You won’t see a stranger and uglier departure from a team than that.
