Jets are massive underdogs in Week 17 matchup with Buccaneers

Oddsmakers aren’t giving the Jets a good chance to beat Tom Brady and the Buccaneers in Week 17.

The Jets were favored for the first time this season last weekend when they hosted the Jaguars at MetLife Stadium. It’s back to the short end of the stick for New York this weekend, though, as Tom Brady and the defending Super Bowl champion Buccaneers are in town.

Tipico Sportsbook lists the Jets as 12.5-point underdogs for their Week 17 matchup with the Buccaneers. New York is fresh off its fourth win of the season, but Tampa Bay is operating on a different level despite a recent rash of injuries. The Bucs are 11-4, and playoff seeding is still up for grabs.

The Jets are -105 (bet $105 to win $100) to cover their end of the spread, while the Buccaneers are -115 (bet $115 to win $100). Tampa Bay has won six games by at least 13 points this season, making it entirely possible it holds up its end of the bargain on Sunday.

The over/under is 45.5. Gang Green’s money line is +470 (bet $100 to win $470), the Buccaneers are – 700 (bet $700 to win $100) on the money line.
