With COVID-19 cases building around the NBA, five different members of the Golden State Warriors have entered the league’s health and safety protocol.
Andrew Wiggins became the first player to make his return to the team on Tuesday against the Denver Nuggets. Now, after missing the last six games, Poole has been cleared to make his return for the Warriors.
The third-year shooting guard is slated to be back on the lineup on Saturday against the Utah Jazz, per head coach Steve Kerr. Poole was set to make his return against the Nuggets in Denver on Thursday. However, the game was postponed due to the health and safety protocol.

Poole’s return should bolster Golden State’s thin rotation that is already missing Draymond Green, Moses Moody and Damion Lee in the league’s COVID-19 protocol.
During the 2020-21 NBA campaign, Poole is averaging 17.9 points on 44.2% shooting from the field with 3.4 rebounds and 3.4 assists in 30.7 minutes per game.
With Poole returning, Gary Payton II should return to Golden State’s second unit on Saturday against the Jazz. In three consecutive starts, Payton II averaged 15.7 points per game on 61.3% shooting from the field with 5.7 rebounds and 1.7 assists in 31 minutes per contest.
The Warriors will travel to Utah to meet the Jazz on Saturday at 6 p.m. PT at the Vivint Arena.
