Forever Buff Alec Burks ties career-high in Knicks’ win

Alec Burks had himself a night for the Knicks

Eleven-year NBA veteran Alec Burks can still ball with the best of them.

In the New York Knicks’ 94-85 win over the Detroit Pistons on Wednesday night, the Buffaloes great scored 19 points in the fourth quarter and 34 total to match his career-high. He did, however, score 36 points back in 2011 when the Buffs upset No. 9 Missouri.

Burks has bounced around a bit recently in the NBA, but it appears he has found a good home in New York. And if he keeps putting up over 30 points, then all the better for the Knicks.

Burks, who remains CU’s all-time single-season scoring king with 779 points in 2011, is averaging 12.1 for the Knicks while shooting a career-high 42.2% from three.
