Penn State men’s basketball has third game in a row canceled over COVID concerns

Penn State basketball will go 22 days in between games after having a third-striaght game canceled

Penn State was set to return to the basketball court on Wednesday night after having its last two games wiped out due to COVID protocols within the program. But the return to the court will have to wait just a little longer.

Penn State’s home game against Delaware State scheduled for Wednesday evening was canceled on Tuesday due to positive COVID-19 results within the Delaware State basketball program. Delaware State has paused its athletic events for the basketball program through January 2, 2022.

Penn State and Delaware State will not reschedule the game as both teams are about to jump into the thick of their conference schedule for the remainder of the season.

Penn State has not played a game since December 11, a loss at Michigan State. As of now, Penn State’s next scheduled game is set for Sunday, January 2, 2022 with a home game against Indiana in Big Ten play.
