Some players and coaches met with the media ahead of the PlayStation Fiesta Bowl held on New Year’s Day. It may seem like many college football players watch the game on a regular basis but that might not actually be the case.
Take Oklahoma State defensive end Brock Martin for instance. He was asked about the Cowboys getting a chance to face-off against Notre Dame for the first time in program history. When referencing the Irish, Martin make quite the mistake, saying the network they regularly play for was CBS.
If Martin really payed attention, he would know the Irish are a mainstay on NBC Saturday’s in the fall. I just hope someone mentioned that to him later on.
Oklahoma State defensive end Brock Martin talking about the opportunity of playing Notre Dame.
“It’s a big opportunity. There’s like a 40-year waiting list to play these guys. Notre Dame is a big name, household name, they have their own TV deal with CBS.”
