Kevin Durant is on track to add another MVP to his resume

As the two-time NBA champion continues to dominate, the Nets continue to improve.

Nets star Kevin Durant is leading NBA.com’s MVP ladder, and he’s just warming up. With averages of 30 PPG, 8 RPG and 6 APG on 52% shooting from the field, it’s hard to overlook him, even with Steph Curry and Nikola Jokic having monumental seasons of their own.

To go with these impressive stat lines, Durant also holds the title as the league’s leading scorer.

As this team continues to get healthy, the spacing offensively is going to improve. Before being ruled out due to COVID-19, the Washington native was playing without Nets stars James Harden and Kyrie Irving on top of sharpshooter Joe Harris. Reloading arguably the best offensive player of all-time with these types of weapons again is a recipe for disaster for any opposing team.

Expect Durant’s assist numbers to go up, but most importantly, his minutes to go down. The 11-time All-Star has taken on a necessary load of 37 MPG as of late to help lead Brooklyn to a record of 21-9. This was due to injuries and all the weird stuff going on with the pandemic. As a result, key players have missed games. Fortunately, it will not be like this for long.
