Celtics injury report: Nesmith, Fernando, Miles, Jackson enter protocols vs. Bucks; Horford, Hernangomez, Parker, Thomas upgraded to questionable

The Hospital Celtics will be out in force over the Christmas holiday.

The Hospital Celtics are making a surprise Christmas Day appearance with the longest list of players likely in team history having been released by the franchise this afternoon. There is a kernel of good news to offset several new additions to the NBA’s health and safety protocols coming from the Boston Celtics’ roster in that Al Horford has been upgraded to questionable for the team’s tilt with the Milwaukee Bucks Saturday, as has Juancho Hernangomez, Jabari Parker, and Brodric Thomas after bouts in the protocols.

But said list also has Aaron Nesmith and Bruno Fernando entering the protocols from Boston’s regular roster, along with recently-signed hardship exemption players CJ Miles and Justin Jackson. The list also has Marcus Smart (left hip contusion) and Romeo Langford (left Achilles tendinopathy) as potential scratches against the Bucks.

Grant Williams, Enes Kanter Freedom, and Sam Hauser all remain out in the protocols.
