Report: Billy Donovan enters health and safety protocols

The Bulls lose their head coach to health and safety protocols.

The Chicago Bulls have been making some leeway to get their team back from the league’s health and safety protocols but took another hit on Friday morning.

Head coach Billy Donovan has entered the league’s health and safety protocols, becoming the fourth head coach in the league to do so, first reported by Jamal Collier of ESPN.

Donovan entered protocol a day after Bulls All-Star Zach LaVine returns to the team from protocols and returned to practice.

Assistant Chris Fleming will serve as the interim head coach while Donovan is out, per Collier.
