Tuesday Night Football picks and prop bets: A COVID double-header, part II

A rise in COVID-19 numbers means a return to Tuesday football.

It must be the NFL’s throwback week, because this feels a whole lot like 2020.

Like last year’s pear-shaped season, 2021 will play host to Tuesday night football thanks to rising Covid-19 cases across the league. At 7 p.m. EST the Seattle Seahawks will look to keep their minuscule postseason hopes alive by upsetting the Los Angeles Rams on the road. At the same time, some 2,700 miles away on a school night, the Washington Football Team and Philadelphia Eagles will take part in a de facto playoff eliminator to wrap up Week 15.

For a primetime gift of bonus football (for awful reasons), it’s a pretty decent slate. We get a pair of division rivalries. One features two evenly matched teams in the thick of a playoff hunt. The other is a postseason rematch of a game that helped shut the door on Jared Goff’s career in Los Angeles while exposing how ultimately harmless the Seahawks have become.

Let’s take a deeper look at this week’s virus-derived bonus football. All odds via Tipico.
