Betting markets are confident in the Green Bay Packers winning at home – and winning comfortably – on Christmas Day.
According to Tipico Sportsbook, the Packers opened as 7.5-point favorites over the Cleveland Browns in Week 15. The over/under is set at 44.5 points.
The Packers, fresh off an NFC North-clinching win over the Baltimore Ravens, are now 11-3 and cruising, while the Browns, who lost on a late field goal to the Las Vegas Raiders on Monday, are now 7-7 and in real danger of missing of the postseason.
Kevin Stefanski’s team is equal parts depleted and desperate, making the Browns a potentially dangerous opponent. But the Packers are unbeaten at home this season over six games, with an average win margin of almost 14 points.
Also, consider this: The Packers have covered the spread in all six games at Lambeau Field this season.
Overall, Matt LaFleur’s team is 3-0 straight up against the AFC North this season, including a 10-point win over the Pittsburgh Steelers at home in October.
The Browns are just 6-8 against the spread this season, including a 1-4 mark over the last five games. But Cleveland did cover the spread as a road underdog in three games, including games in Kansas City, Minnesota and Cincinnati.
It’s possible this line could fluctuate as the Browns get back players – including quarterback Baker Mayfield – from the COVID-19 reserve list.
The Packers and Browns are scheduled for a 3:30 p.m. CT kickoff at Lambeau Field.
