Five-star cornerback Denver Harris announced on Saturday that he signed with Texas A&M.
Texas was in the running for the Houston native up until the very end, but ultimately the Aggies were able to add the coveted prospect to their already impressive class.
Harris is rated the No. 3 cornerback in the country for the 2022 cycle and the No. 5 overall prospect in the state of Texas, according to 247Sports. He was one of the highest rated targets left on Texas’ board.
He became the fifth five-star recruit in Texas A&M’s class.

The Longhorns also lost the in-state battle for five-star wide receiver Evan Stewart to the Aggies during the early signing period. Even with the misses, Texas has put together an impressive class of their own as well, which currently ranks No. 5 in the country in 247Sports team rankings.
Steve Sarkisian’s staff will likely look to the transfer portal to sure up depth at several positions.
