The Cincinnati Bengals confirmed on Friday that starting corner Chidobe Awuzie will miss Sunday’s game against the Denver Broncos.

There was some hope that Awuzie would be able to quickly come off the reserve/COVID-19 list and play. He and three others are out on the team’s final injury report, the other two being linebacker Logan Wilson and right tackle Riley Reiff.

Four other players are listed as questionable on the final injury report:

  • LB Markus Bailey
  • CB Vernon Hargreaves
  • C Trey Hill
  • OT Isaiah Prince

This was always going to be a bad-looking report for the Bengals. Linebacker Logan Wilson is out at least one more week. Corner Darius Phillips already went to IR.

The day prior, the Bengals moved corner Chidobe Awuzie to the reserve/COVID-19 list and sent starting right tackle Riley Reiff to IR.

The team later confirmed Reiff will miss the rest of the season.

With Reiff out and Prince still ill, Fred Johnson figures to get the nod at right tackle.
