NFL ‘very hesitant’ to postpone Seahawks vs. Rams or other games due to COVID-19

COVID-19 has hit the NFL harder the last few days than it has all season and three teams currently having 20 or more names on their reserve/COVID lists. The next opponent on the Seahawks’ schedule is one of them. The Rams placed nine more players on their list yesterday, including pass rusher Von Miller. That brings LA’s total to an incredible 25 players. Seattle added two of its own players yesterday: wide receiver Tyler Lockett and running back Alex Collins.

It’s tough (and dangerous) to play a football game with half a team, so it might make sense to postpone. The NFL doesn’t seem inclined to budge on this, though. According to a report by A.J. Perez at Front Office Sports, the league is “very hesitant” to postpone these games.

On the other hand, the league has altered the protocols which will allow some players to return quicker from the COVID-19 lists.
