The Charlotte Hornets defeated the San Antonio Spurs, 131-115, on Wednesday night, which came at the hands of Gordon Hayward.
Hayward scored a season-high 41 points on 15-of-19 shooting from the field, 5-of-6 from 3-point range, and 6-of-6 from the free throw line. Simply put, Hayward was as efficient as can be.
And, he did it in only three quarters.
The Hornets scored 46 points in the first quarter, as Hayward got going early with 14 points through the first 12 minutes and didn’t slow down until all night long.
