The early signing period has started off hot for Texas, as the Longhorns are in the process of bringing home a historically good class.
One of the biggest gets for Texas thus far was a bit unexpected. Although Steve Sarkisian’s staff has been continuously making efforts to try and flip Ohio State commit Terrance Brooks, it wasn’t until Wednesday that we learned that Brooks was committing to Texas.
Brooks is a five-star cornerback out of Little Elm, Texas, that the staff pushed extremely hard for considering defensive back is a major need on this roster. He is rated the No. 8 cornerback in the country and the No. 10 overall prospect in the state, according to 247Sports composite.
To say that defensive passing game coordinator Terry Joseph was excited would be an understatement, as he sprung up in joy and high-fived everyone in sight.
