With 13 games in the books, the 3-10 Jets are in line for two of the first eight picks in the 2022 NFL draft.
Per NFL.com, New York has its own first-round selection at No. 4 and Seattle’s at No. 8. The Jets own the Seahawks’ first-rounder thanks to the Jamal Adams trade.
Week 14 was another disappointing one for the Jets, as their offense failed to get anything going in a 30-9 loss to the Saints. New York’s defense held up for as long as it could, but Zach Wilson completed less than 50 percent of his passes and couldn’t lead the Jets to anything more than three Eddy Piñeiro field goals.
It won’t be easy for New York to snap its two-game losing streak when it travels to Miami to take on the Dolphins this weekend. Miami is down multiple running backs due to COVID, but is on a five-game winning streak and can get back to .500 on the season with a win over the lowly Jets.
