Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Parris Campbell is hoping to return from the injured reserve list for the Week 16 game against the Arizona Cardinals, but it seems to be more hope than anything right now.
Coming out of the Week 14 bye, head coach Frank Reich met with reporters on Monday to get the week started as the team prepares for a Saturday prime-time game with the New England Patriots (9-4).
When asked about any update on Campbell’s potential return, Reich said he didn’t have one.
“No update at this point,” said Reich.
Campbell has been on the injured reserve list since suffering a foot injury on a 51-yard touchdown reception against the Houston Texans in Week 6. The Colts are still hopeful that Campbell can return for the Christmas game but it still appears to be a wait-and-see situation.
Campbell has still been a boom/bust player in the offense but adding more weapons to a unit that has really found its groove is never a bad thing.
We will see what happens with Campbell, but the hope still remains he can return for a crucial game against the Cardinals on Christmas.
