It’s reasonable to suggest Jaguars coach Urban Meyer had a pretty rough last few days. From a brutal report in which Meyer allegedly referred to his assistant coaches as “losers,” to overseeing a bad 20-0 loss to division-rival Tennessee, the sun isn’t exactly shining brightly on the NFL’s Not Rookie of the Year coach.
Meyer was seen walking in a corpse-like fashion toward Titans coach Mike Vrabel — an assistant under Meyer at Ohio State previously — for the traditional postgame handshake. Meyer might have been having an out-of-body experience, but he definitely appeared to want to be anywhere else. It was a good summation of Meyer’s likely state of mind now, as his job status appears to be, at the very least, on uneven ground.
It didn’t help he appeared to be unaware of how much playing time safety Andre Cisco got (none) in the loss.
