Ah, the old “let’s mess with the home team’s logo at midfield to motivate our squad” move.
The Las Vegas Raiders appeared to try that before an AFC West showdown with the Kansas City Chiefs, a team they trail by two games in the division. Before the game began, Raiders players ran over to the logo in the middle of Arrowhead Stadium and held a huddle there.
But if the intention was to fire up their own team, it completely backfired. Because the Chiefs came out and scored 35 UNANSWERED POINTS to start the Week 14 matchup.
We’ll see after the game if the Chiefs were indeed motivated by that move:
Dig this! The #raiders met as a team after their pregame warmup at about the 25 yard line. Then proceeded to relocate their team huddle to midfield on top of the #chiefs logo. The stadium erupted in boos as the Raiders fired each other up. LFG!!! pic.twitter.com/6MQOVtQ5G0

Raiders should huddle on the field at halftime. Could try the 50 yard line but that doesn’t seem to work. Pick an end zone, like we used to do in high school. Maybe that’ll get em in the mood.
