The focus of this week’s jersey watch for Carolina Panthers safety Jeremy Chinn was more of a “what” than a “who.” And that “what” is coming soon to a Bank of America Stadium near you.
Chinn sported the Charlotte FC kit heading into the team’s Week 14 matchup against the Atlanta Falcons. Charlotte FC, the first Major League Soccer franchise in the city’s history, is set to kick off for the upcoming 2022 season.

The club was founded by Panthers owner David Tepper on Dec. 17, 2019. Tepper, upon his transition to Carolina, had previously throw hints for the mint as one of his initiatives as the new head honcho in Charlotte.
MLS action in the Queen City will officially begin at Bank of America Stadium on March 5, 2022.
The kit now joins this list of Carolina legends Chinn has honored throughout the year:
Preseason Week 2: Charlotte Hornets guard Muggsy Bogues
Preseason Week 3: Carolina Panthers defensive end Julius Peppers
Week 1: Davidson College guard Stephen Curry
Week 2: University of South Carolina wide receiver Sterling Sharpe
Week 5: Carolina Hurricanes center Rod Brind’Amour
Week 6: Homestead Grays first baseman Buck Leonard
Week 9: NASCAR driver Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Week 11: Las Vegas Aces forward A’Ja Wilson
