LAS VEGAS – [autotag]Gillian Robertson[/autotag] raised the bar for women’s flyweight finishers in the UFC 269 opener, and did so while surviving some nasty eyes gouges from [autotag]Priscila Cachoeira[/autotag].
Robertson (10-6 MMA, 7-4 UFC) secured a first-round submission of Cachoeira (10-4 MMA, 2-4 UFC) on Saturday’s card at the T-Mobile Arena, locking in a rear-naked choke while Cachoeira attempted to stick her fingers in the eyes to get out of the choke.

Despite Cachoeira’s tactics, Robertson was able to win the fight and set a new record for most stoppage victories in UFC women’s flyweight history with seven. She was previously tied with Valentina Shevchenko (via Twitter):
