The Cincinnati Bengals made two roster moves ahead of the team’s Week 14 showdown with the San Francisco 49ers (a showdown dubbed one of the six most important games remaining on the entire NFL schedule).
Cincinnati announced the moves on Saturday, elevating two players from the practice squad to the active roster:
- LB Keandre Jones
- LB Austin Calitro
No great shockers here with Logan Wilson out one game, if not much longer. The team also downgraded Markus Bailey to out for the game against the 49ers. It’ll be Germaine Pratt and Joe Bachie making up most of the snaps at linebacker.
Both elevated linebackers will revert back to the practice squad on Monday, per NFL rules.
One move missing? Wilson to injured reserve, which suggests the team still hopes he can return over the short-term. Putting him on IR would otherwise mean he has to miss at least three weeks.
