Lakers’ Anthony Davis out vs. Thunder with knee soreness

The Los Angeles Lakers won’t have its star big man tonight against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

The Los Angeles Lakers announced prior to tipoff against the Oklahoma City Thunder that Anthony Davis is out for the contest.

The team is listing it as knee soreness, marking this game as the second Davis has missed this season. He did not play against the Indiana Pacers in November due to a fever.

Los Angeles’ struggle for consistency persists with Davis being out. The Big 3 of LeBron James, Russell Westbrook and Davis haven’t stayed on the court for a decent stretch of games to develop chemistry. Something usually comes up involving James or Davis.

James did not play in the first two games against the Thunder, and L.A. lost both games after blowing strong double-digit leads.

Dwight Howard and DeAndre Jordan will have to step it up tonight.
