Saints bring back Kenny Stills after losing Deonte Harris and Ty Montgomery, with Lil’Jordan Humphrey injured:

Kenny Stills was spotted at New Orleans Saints practice on Friday, after having been released on Tuesday. But the wide receivers corps took a series of hits in the days since Stills was waived: Deonte Harris was suspended for three games, Ty Montgomery landed on the COVID-19 reserve list after a positive test, and Lil’Jordan Humphrey was a limited participant in Thursday’s practice due to a sudden hamstring injury.

It’s unclear yet whether Stills was signed to the 53-man roster (which has several vacancies with defensive end Cameron Jordan and running back Mark Ingram II also on the COVID-19 list) outright or instead added to the practice squad, which was at its full 16-man capacity as of Friday afternoon. But the Saints cut and re-sign players all the time, most recently defensive tackle Malcolm Roach, so it wouldn’t be difficult to slot Stills in on the practice squad.

We’ll know more once Friday’s update to the daily NFL transactions wire is released. For the curious, here are the wide receivers available for Sunday’s game with the New York Jets:

  • Tre’Quan Smith (active roster)
  • Marquez Callaway  (active roster)
  • Easop Winston Jr. (practice squad)
  • Kawaan Baker (practice squad)
  • Malcolm Perry (practice squad)
  • Kevin White (practice squad)
  • Kenny Stills (TBD)
