Incredibly sad news. According to the Associated Press, Thomas’ family believes he died of a seizure.
Thomas played for Denver in the Super Bowl Seattle won – scoring the only touchdown of the game for the Broncos. He made it to four Pro Bowls and won a ring of his own in 2015. In 143 career games, Thomas posted 724 catches, 9,763 yards and 63 touchdowns.
Thomas seems to have made quite an impact off the field. Some of the stories surfacing about the kind of person he was are touching.
Demaryius Thomas wrote in the Players Tribune that love, not schools or neighborhoods, but somebody saying “I care about you” is the most important thing in a child’s life. 💯 pic.twitter.com/Yv4nyxR6Rs
