LAS VEGAS – [autotag]Amanda Nunes[/autotag] and [autotag]Julianna Pena[/autotag] were not playing games during their first faceoff for Saturday’s UFC 269 women’s bantamweight title fight.
At the conclusion of Thursday’s pre-event press conference, where both ladies had a lot to say to each other, the champ-champ Nunes (21-4 MMA, 14-1 UFC) and “The Ultimate Fighter” winner Pena (10-4 MMA, 6-2 UFC) came face-to-face for the first staredown of fight week.

Pena has made no secrets about her plans to dethrone Nunes of one of her belts in her long-awaited championship opportunity, and she didn’t show a lack of confidence when she locked eyes with Nunes, who enters the contest as a massive betting favorite.
UFC 269 takes place at T-Mobile Arena. The main card airs on pay-per-view following prelims on ESPN2 and ESPN+.
