Purdue defensive end declares for NFL draft

Purdue defensive end declares for NFL draft ahead of the Music City Bowl.

Tennessee (7-5, 4-4 SEC) will play in the TransPerfect Music City Bowl against Purdue (8-4, 6-3 Big Ten).

The contest will take place Dec. 30 at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tennessee. Kickoff is slated for 3 p.m. EST.

Ahead of the TransPerfect Music City Bowl, Purdue defensive end George Karlaftis announced he has declared for the 2022 NFL draft. The 6-foot-4, 275-pound junior defensive end totaled 41 tackles, five sacks, forced three fumbles and deflected two passes during the 2021 season.

“Ever grateful, ever true,” Karlaftis said of Purdue when announcing for the 2022 NFL draft.
