The Green Bay Packers (9-3) can take a big step towards winning a third straight NFC North title when the reeling Chicago Bears (4-8) arrive at Lambeau Field for the second of two meetings between the long-time rivals on Sunday.
If the Minnesota Vikings lose on Thursday night against the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Packers can clinch the division by beating the Bears in primetime on Sunday night.
The Packers won the first meeting at Soldier Field, 24-14. Aaron Rodgers produced a signature moment in the rivalry when he ran in the game-sealing touchdown and then had a few choice words for the fans in attendance in Chicago.
The Bears have lost six of the last seven games after starting 3-2 and are in real danger of falling out of the playoff race completely unless Matt Nagy’s team can put together a few wins to start December.
The Packers have won the last five games against the Bears and 10 of the last 11 overall. Chicago hasn’t won at Lambeau Field since 2015.
The Packers beat the Los Angeles Rams in Week 12 and had a bye week in Week 13. Since hiring Matt LaFleur, the Packers are 0-2 coming out of the bye.
Here’s a quick preview of the matchup between LaFleur’s Packers and Nagy’s Bears:
