Much of Arizona State’s success this season has come on the ground with running backs Rachaad White and Deamonte Trayanum and quarterback Jayden Daniels.
White has rushed for 1000 yards and 15 touchdowns on 182 carries, Daniels has 670 yards and 6 touchdowns on 119 carries and Trayanum has 401 yards and 6 touchdowns on 78 rushes.
Two of those three players will not play in Arizona State’s Las Vegas Bowl matchup with Wisconsin. Recent reports say White will skip the bowl game to focus on NFL Draft prep, while Trayanum entered the transfer portal last week.
The news is significant as the Sun Devils boast a top-25 rushing attack, one which they rely on heavily to win football games. Meanwhile, the Badgers present the toughest rush defense matchup in the country.
Now Arizona State will need to find success on the ground without two of its biggest contributors.
Arizona State RBs Rachaad White (NFL Draft), Deamonte Trayanum (transfer portal) will not play against Wisconsin in the Las Vegas Bowl.
That's 1401yds, 5.4ypc, 21TDs of production the Sun Devils won't have against the nation's best rush defense.https://t.co/O1RNtmopyC
