The injury bug was out in full force on Sunday for the Cincinnati Bengals.

Star running back Joe Mixon went down in the third quarter of his team’s game against the Los Angeles Chargers, removing his helmet and walking off the field with trainers.

The injury came on the heels of linebacker Logan Wilson needing a cart to leave the field and quarterback Joe Burrow suffering a finger injury that left him struggling to grip the ball and performing handoffs with his non-throwing hand.

Mixon went to the blue medical tent with trainers and later returned to the game, causing an uproar from Paul Browm Stadium.

A week prior to the injury, Mixon has rushed for a career-high yardage output in a 41-10 win over the Steelers, but was mostly held in check on Sunday before the injury.
