It’s unlikely we’ll have a resolution to what Oklahoma Sooners quarterback Caleb Williams will do with his college football career anytime soon.
The Lincoln Riley departure has already seen several players enter the transfer portal, which is not surprising. Anytime there’s a transition in leadership on a team or at a job, there’s bound to be turnover. Such is the case at Oklahoma.
Williams has made it clear he will not be making any decisions on his future with the team until a decision is made with the head coaching position. So, as Williams waits like the rest of us for the Sooners to determine what they’re going to do with their head coaching hire, the Oklahoma starting quarterback is out living his best life.
Williams, along with several teammates, was at the Lloyd Noble Center Wednesday night to cheer on the OU men’s basketball team against the Florida Gators.
During the game, Williams received a standing ovation from the crowd according to those present for the matchup and even used that gifted arm of his to launch T-shirts into the crowd.
There’s no telling what the future holds for Williams and the Oklahoma Sooners at the quarterback position, but it’s good to see he’s not shying away from the public eye in a time when what he’ll do in the future is as anticipated a decision as who the next head coach for the Sooners will be.
