Edge rusher Khris Bogle is the third Florida Gator in three days to enter the transfer portal, according to Matt Zenitz of On3.
Bogle started three of the 10 games he played in this season for Florida. He finished the year with 23 total tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks. Bogle had a chance to be one of the more productive pass rushers in Billy Napier’s first season with Florida, but a season spent mostly behind Brenton Cox Jr. has him looking at his options.
The transfer portal isn’t an automatic departure from the team, and Bogle could still return to Florida. Napier should have more influence over players once he gets to Gainesville and takes over, and he could make a push to keep the former four-star recruit. Offensive lineman Gerald Mincey and defensive lineman Dante Zanders entered the portal earlier in the week as well.

Aside from Cox, there’s not a whole lot of depth for Florida at that EDGE position. The next best option may be incoming four-star Jamari Lyons, who is expected to play in the same spot. Lloyd Summerall and Antwuan Powell could see some increased playtime with Bogle’s departure.
Bogle was ranked No. 71 on the 247Sports Composite List in 2019. The 6-foot-4-inch, 242-pounder flipped from Alabama on National Signing Day, but things clearly haven’t gone according to plan.
